The IEEE Ganpat University Student Branch (IEEE GUNI SB) is a vibrant, student-led community operating under the world’s largest technical professional organization, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Our branch is dedicated to fostering innovation, leadership, and technical excellence through diverse events, workshops, competitions, and professional development initiatives, creating a powerhouse of young engineers and future leaders within Ganpat University.

Established in 2004, IEEE GUNI SB was founded with the mission to build a dynamic platform for students to explore emerging technologies, leadership, and social impact initiatives. The History of IEEE Ganpat University Student Branch
The Beginning of a Vision
IEEE Ganpat University Student Branch (GUNI SB) was founded on 16th December 2004 by Dr. H. K. Patel. Starting with 19 members, the branch focused on technical and leadership development. Its motto, “For the students, by the students,” set the foundation for future growth and innovation.
Reviving the Spirit
The years 2022 and 2023 marked a dynamic return for IEEE GUNI SB. The branch revived its events with significant initiatives like Blood Donation Camps (100+ donors), Self-Defence Workshops, and the WIE Members Orientation. The AI in Healthcare webinar and industrial visit to Bhuj Air Force Station were notable highlights. In 2023, the branch organized impactful events like the Box of Happiness Donation Drive, IBM Certified Data Science Workshop (135+ participants), and Women’s Day Celebration (250+ participants). For the first time, the branch surpassed 135+ IEEE members at GUNI campus, and was recognized for its Best Membership Development by IEEE Gujarat Sampark.
A Golden Era of Impact
The year 2024 was a golden chapter in the history of IEEE Ganpat University Student Branch (IEEE GUNI SB), driven by remarkable growth and unmatched engagement. With over 3,100 participants across 15+ impactful events, the branch’s influence soared to new heights. Flagship events like the AI Symposium 2024, Box of Happiness donation drive, IEEE Day with five events, Orientation Program, and the Spark the Summer Hackathon highlighted the branch’s commitment to fostering leadership and technical innovation. The branch also achieved its highest membership yet, with over 100 new IEEE members joining. The branch’s online presence was equally impressive, garnering over 700K social media views.
Continuing the Legacy
In 2025, IEEE GUNI SB earned the prestigious Best Membership Development Award at IEEE Gujarat Sampark, marking a significant milestone in its growth. The newly designed Execom structure ensured effective leadership, driving impactful initiatives that empowered students. With a focus on professional development, the branch played a pivotal role in shaping students' engineering careers.
